C.I.R.S.Pe., the Italian Fishery Research and Studies Centre , was established in 1979, following a Federcoopesca wish, with the purpose to set up a structure which can fulfil the necessity of training, study, assistance and marketing for fishery and aquaculture sectors.
C.I.R.S.Pe. is a non-profit company and it is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (D.M. 26/10/99). It has the aim to represent for Fishery and aquaculture, a polyvalent centre for services, promoting an integrated development of the entire sector.
C.I.R.S.Pe. has obtained the certificate for the quality system management conforming the regulations UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, issued by SGS Italia.
The presence of specialized technicians and researchers operating on the national territory, has enabled C.I.R.S.PE. to consolidate, through the years, a productive collaboration with the fishery cooperative companies and with government bodies. The continuous exchange of information obtained, the confrontation between the parts involved, and the permanent participation of the companies for the planning, are the main topics of the operating model of C.I.R.S.Pe. In this way C.I.R.S.Pe.'s expertise is able to supply an efficient support for the real necessities of the workers and, at the same time, it offers a permanent sustain for those who are in charge for the planning of the interventions in managing the biological resources. With this awareness and in this direction, C.I.R.S.PE. operates through its network of associated cooperatives; These are companies which have been operating in fishery, aquaculture and environment sectors for years and that are willing to consolidate their attendance both in national and international markets.
C.I.R.S.Pe., operates with the purpose to match the conservation of the territory with the exigencies of the socio-economical development. It's aim is to actively transfer to the companies operating in the fishery, aquaculture and environment sectors, technical expertise and managing capabilities to be used for a responsible managing of the productive process. The design is to insure a sustainable exploitation of the resources, aiming at the preservation of the occupational level and the workers' income. Research, training and technical assistance are the three main areas in which C.I.R.S.Pe. operates to provide innovative services and expertise. |
